Pressure Vessels

Glass pressure vessels are designed for heating small amounts of liquid in a closed system. These are sometimes referred to as "glass bombs" or reactors. These should be used only by trained professionals. Safety shields, personal protective equipment and other safety equipment should always be used with glass pressure reactors. The user assumes all risk and liability in purchasing or using these items.

The danger of heating a closed system is quite significant. Too much liquid, too high a temperature, a decomposition reaction, gas evolution, an unnoticed flaw, or other foreseen or unforeseen circumstances could lead to catastrophic and violent failure of the vessel as well as severe personal injury or death. Neither the manufacturer nor Safety Emporium guarantees the vessels from breaking under pressure due to the nature of the material(s) or conditions beyond the manufacturer's control.
