| Fine (F) | 4 - 5.5 | Filtration of extremely fine precipitates, extraction. Not recommended for routine filtration as these run very slowly, are prone to clogging, and difficult to clean. |
| Medium (M) | 10 - 16 | Ideal for routine organic/inorganic extractions and filtrations and collection of crystalline materials. |
| Coarse (C) | 40 - 60 | Gas dispersion, gas washing, extractions, mercury filtration. |
| Extra Coarse (XC) | 170 - 200 | Support for other filter media, gas dispersion, gas washing |
