The NEW AND IMPROVED Bielcor B201 N95 NIOSH-Approved Particulate Respirator has a number of exciting upgrades from the B200 model we offered previously:
- No metal nosepiece means fewer nose fatigue and fit issues. Instead, the mask has a more ergonomic design to match the nose and the upper seal on the mask is made with a soft, broad fabric flap which increases comfort and makes for a better fit with no need to constantly bend a metal strip between uses.
- No headband staples. The connections to the head bands are fusion welded for greater comfort.
- Stretchy elasticized fabric head bands instead of exposed elastics.
- The inside layer is a softer fabric for a more comfortable fit.
Bielcor's advanced particulate filtering N95 dust masks are NIOSH-approved (approval number 84A-7719) and are designed to protect the wearer against non-oil-based particles as small as 0.3 microns, while still allowing the user full, deep breaths of clean, fresh air. Each has a flexible, adjustable metal nose piece that can be bent or shaped to ideally fit the user's face. The flexible head strap allows the user to don and remove the mask with ease. These are readily compatible with other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, goggles, earmuffs, and hardhats and the straps are latex-free.
These masks are ideal for protection against small particulates such as saw dust, metal shavings, pollen, allergens, fiberglass, and more. They are ideal for activities such as woodworking or painting at home as well as by professional carpenters, contractors, or lawn care specialists. N95 filtering respirators filter at least 95% of airborne particles. These are not resistant to oil. NIOSH has a convenient discussion of particulate filtering respirator classifications on their web site. These cup style masks are sold in 20 packs or economical cases of 400 masks only and we're selling them to end users because we hate price gouging middlemen. Resale is prohibited.
Technical Note 1: Respirators with KN designations such as KN95 are not NIOSH-approved. While the US FDA has issued an Emergency Use Authorization for unapproved respirators under certain conditions, the market for KN95's is fraught with substandard and counterfeit products and should be considered only when approved alternatives are unavailable. A recent study by ECRI determined that up up to 70% of imported non-NIOSH certified respirators exhibit filtration performance "significantly inferior" to NIOSH-certified N95's.
Technical Note 2: NIOSH has issued Recommended Guidance for Extended Use and Limited Reuse of N95 Filtering Facepiece Respirators in Healthcare Settings which health care institutions will find useful. The US FDA has issued Emergency Use Authorizations for the use of hydrogen peroxide vapor systems to sterilize and reuse personal respiratory protective devices.
Technical Note 3: Bielcor is an Arizona-based company that has been operating in the US occupational respiratory market for more than two years. These masks are manufactured by Taiwan-based Jinfuyu Industrial Co, Ltd which holds the NIOSH approval and has factories in both China and Vietnam. These masks have a three shelf life and come with a dates of manufacture/expiration on them. We promise to ship masks that have at least two years remaining before expiration.
Case dimensions: 27" x 17" x 12" (68.6 x 43.2 x 30.5 cm), 15 lb (6.8 kg).
