Guardian Equipment has two basic models of portable eyewash stations suitable for temporary use or where there is no plumbed water available. The G1540 is an economical all-polyethylene design that is easily deployed at indoor locations and the G1562 features a rugged stainless "beer keg" design tested in the toughest real world locations. Both models are available with an optional electrically-heated insulating jacket to provide freeze resistance in cold climates.

Regardless of model, portable units must have a bacteriostatic additive to prevent the growth of bacteria, fungus, algae, and acanthamoeba. These stations should be tested/flushed weekly for 15 seconds and topped off with potable water. Every 6 months or after use, the unit should be drained, cleaned and another bottle of G1540BA additive added.
