Microscale
Chemglass's Minimum-Ware® microscale glassware reduces the amount of solvents, reagents and waste compared to traditional organic laboratory experiments. More experiments can be done in less time, with less space and less overhead. Microscale approaches are rapidly expanding in first year organic laboratory courses around the world and these products make the transition a snap! These components feature:
- Externally-threaded outer joints which allow the inner member to connect with an open-top screw cap and Viton o-ring, providing a positive, grease-free seal. The extrenal 24-400 GPI thread allow these 14/10 components to be used interchangeably with offerings from other manufacturers.
- Students are exposed to the mainstay of organic chemistry, the standard taper joint, without the hassles of clamps, springs or wires to hold the apparatus together.
- 14/10 components are fully interchangeable with 14/20 components you may already have. And the smaller 14/10 size reduces the wetted surface area and reduced the chances of the joint seizing.
- The line is varied enough to offer educational experiments (with pre-packaged kits designed to accompany semester courses written up in leading textbooks) as well as research.
