Lockout Tagout

Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures are used to prevent the accidental activation of equipment, particularly when it is undergoing maintenance. LOTO is such a big area that OSHA devotes an entire standard to it, "Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout)", 29 CFR 1910.147.
