Description

This long cold finger with a 14/10 inner joint, can be continuously refilled with ice water to increase the rate of sublimation. It can be inserted through an MW-20-01 claisen adapter and into an MW-54 thin wall reaction vial. An MW-32-01 thermometer adapter inserted into the other arm of the claisen adapter can then be connected to a vacuum source. As the vial is heated with a Bunsen burner solid collects on the continuously cooled cold finger. Sublimation takes place within 5 minutes. This product ws designed by Dr. Don Pavia and Ruth Schoonover of Western Washington University.
