3 or 6 Place Combo Heating Mantle Unit

Glas-Col's combination mantles are the best choice for repetitive extracting, refluxing, and distilling procedures in labs of the food, textile fiber, water and waste-water, petroleum, and many other industries. In general, the lower temperature (400 °C max) RX series is used with solvents common to Soxhlet extractions and RJ units  (600 °C max) are used for refluxing aqueous solutions. Features of both series include:

Each six-place Combo is furnished with six spring-type glassware clamps, and each three-place unit contains three. The clamps attach to one of the horizontal support rods.  The six place units are 29-1/4"w x 9-1/2"d x 51-/4"h and the three place units are 24"w x 11-1/4"d x 6-1/4"h.

Two Series RL control choices are available (SOLD SEPARATELY): a percentage timer (item # 20683) or a proportional voltage (item # 20687) control. The percentage-timer version pulses full-line voltage to each heating position according to the dial setting. The proportional-voltage version supplies a constant, steady-state voltage to each position. The six-place controls are actually two units that can be mounted together or separately. The cord-connected controls allow placement at a convenient location for the operator.

Replacement elements are also available (item #'s 20691-20694). Keep one or two on hand as spares to avoid downtime in the event of failure.
