The Bullard 20TICS hood can be used with airline systems or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) blower assemblies. One of 8 available styles in the CC20 series, this hood is made of tough, durable Tychem QC (Tychem coated with polyethylene) and provides excellent splash protection against many acids, bases and other liquid chemicals. For protection from a wider variety of chemicals select the 20SIC hood instead.
The seams on this respirator are taped and sealed for added protection and the dual bib design (an inner and outer bib) adds even more protection. The bib is longer than in the the TIC model. It includes a replaceable snap-in suspension and features a wide angle lens that offers the best visibility in the industry. The patented inflatable neck cuff design provides superior, comfortable protection, while delivering airflow directly into the workers breathing zone. These hoods are durable enough to reuse, yet economical enoughto discard after each use, depending on your application.
Approved by NIOSH for use in Type C applications, the CC20 Series is ideal for pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical/pesticide handling, spray painting/coating, and nuclear operations. In fact, the Bullard CC20 hood has an Assigned Protection Factor (APF) of 10,000! CC20 hoods do not require fit testing or extensive recordkeeping, and easily accommodate beards, prescription eyewear and safety glasses. Climate control options are available for use with supplied air systems.
Note: CC20 respirators are not approved for use in any atmosphere immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) or from which the wearer cannot escape without the use of a respirator.
