Self-luminous Tritium-powered Exit Signs
These single-sided, self-powered signs require no electricity or back-up batteries. The lettering is made of borosilicate glass tubes that are internally coated with a sulfide phosphor and filled with tritium gas. The signs are totally sealed, explosion-proof, intrinsically safe, and are incapable of causing a spark. These units are the ideal choice for explosive, corrosive, humid and other harsh environments. Dimensions: 12.75" w x 8.25" h x 1" d.
These signs have 6" tall, 3/4" stroke letters to meet OSHA and NFPA 101 requirements and are supplied with removable arrow inserts. All signs have red backgrounds and are maintenance-free. Mounting brackets and screws are included. While these signs are relatively dim during daylight hours, they glow strongly and indefinitely during a complete power failure.
Available in your choice of black, white, or grey frame and 10 or 20-year lifetime. Wire guards (item #00078) are available to protect these and other exit signs in challenging environments such as schools, athletic facilities, correctional institutions, etc.
