Justrite Type I Oval Safety Cans, 1 Gallon, Polyethylene, Red or White

Justrite's Type I Safety Cans hold 1 gallon (4 liters) and is constructed of high-density polyethylene to stand up to tough acids and corrosives, as well as heat. These cans are dent, puncture, and chip resistant. The stainless steel self-closing cap, pressure-relief mechanism and flame arrester work together to prevent ignition sources from entering, without restricting liquid flow in or out of the can. The oval design increases shelf storage capacity by up to 30%. Available in red (model 14160) or white (model 12162) which lets you visualize the liquid level of dark liquids.

The patented conductive current-carrying carbon insert is embedded into the rib of the container, completing a ground path between the cover assembly and the flame arrester. When used with a grounding strip, this provides proper grounding and prevents the creation of a static arc during filling or pouring. 

These cans are FM and UL approved and are compliant with NFPA Code 30 and OSHA requirements. They are the recommended replacement for the discontinued Eagle model 1511 (red) and 1513 (White) safety cans. 

Dimensions: 4.625" (11.7 cm) wide, 7.625" (19.4 cm) long, 12.75" (32.4 cm) high. Weight: 2.0 lb (1 kg). The fill/pour hole is a generous 1.45" (37 mm) for ease of filling and dispensing.
