These 10.75" x 10.75" orange and black placards conform to the UN system and to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Standard 49 CFR. These placards meet the requirements for material, appearance, size, color and character height as specified by §172.519, 521-560. They display both the division number and compatibility group letter and are available in five different materials (reflective vinyl is available by special order). All placards (except the self-adhesive ones) require a suitable placard holder when used on a vehicle (see item # 03171). DOT regulations require four placards per vehicle (front, back and both sides).

|This 4-mil flexible vinyl with clear over-laminate provides a matte surface that is easy to write on with pencil, pen or marker. It has a high-grade, removable, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive with a flat release liner. Ideal for general duty, indoor and temporary applications.
|This material has magnetic ferrite particles imbedded in a 32-mil synthetic rubber base with a UV protective coating. It resists cracking and chipping and is flexible enough for mounting to curved surfaces. Magnetic placards are ideal for vehicles that do not have permanently mounted placard holders and where you need to change the placarding frequently based on the type of material being transported. Service temperature range is 0 to 160°F.
