Product Description

These 6-placard flip placards are a popular choice for fuel haulers. When your cargo changes, just flip to the appropriate UN/NA 4-digit placard. The placards included are:

  • 1202 (Diesel Fuel, Fuel Oil), Class 3
  • 1203 (Gasoline), Class 3
  • 1268 (Petroleum Distillates, Products), Class 3
  • 1863 (Fuel, Aviation Turbine Engine), Class 3
  • 1993 (Flammable Liquid), Class 3
  • 3475 (Ethanol Blended Fuel), Class 3

This system is built for durability in the harshest conditions. The legend pages are corrosion resistant aluminum panels and are held in place with four stainless steel spring clips (replacement clips are available as item # 03185). The base of this unit has rounded corners for easy handling. Select from a unpainted or white aluminum back plate with a baked-on polyester finish to match your truck.

Additional fuel configurations are available as item #'s 03186, 03188, 03189, and 03190.

US DOT regulations require placarding on the front, back and sides of each vehicle. Therefore, most customers purchase this item in multiples of 4. They are priced and sold individually.

TECHNICAL NOTE 1: The US Department of Transportation's DOT Chart 15, Hazardous Materials Markings, Labeling and Placarding Guide is a terrific full-color compliance guide for placarding and labeling and is available for download from their web site.

TECHNICAL NOTE 2: The definition for flammable liquid Class 3 is found in 49 CFR 173.120. Assignment of packing groups for Class 3 is found in 49 CFR 173.121. For a general discussion of terms and further reading see the SDS HyperGlossary entries on flammable, flash point, and combustible.
