Description

This heavy-duty aluminum black and yellow sign has the image of a black speed bump on a yellow background. It is available in one size, 30" w x 30" h (76.2 x 76.2 cm) in your choice of two different highly reflective materials:

  • Engineer-Grade Prismatic - This economical prismatic sheeting bonded to aluminum provides better day and nighttime brightness than traditional beaded Engineer-Grade sheeting. This micro-prismatic retroreflective sheeting is recommended for commercial sign applications as well as non-critical traffic control signs regulated by the MUTCD. This material meets the ASTM D 4956 Type I standard.
  • High-Intensity Prismatic - This material is 3x brighter than our Engineer-Grade Reflective Aluminum. This micro-prismatic lens reflective sheeting bonded to aluminum is effective for daytime, nighttime and artificial light conditions. It provides durability and long-term reflectivity and meets ASTM D 4956, Type III, Type IV, and Type X standards.

The service temperature of these signs is -40 to 250 °F (-40 to 121 °C). Each comes with two 3/8" post mounting holes (smaller signs) or four 1/4" corner holes (larger signs).

Application Note: Use these signs as specified by the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices), which contains the national standards. The MUTCD requires that traffic signs and pavement markings on all roads open to public traffic are to be a minimum of High-Intensity Prismatic.
