These UL-listed, heavy-gauge aluminum grease filters feature sturdy double-frame construction and locking handles are required by law in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. They have no plastic coatings to wear off, no mechanisms to jam, and are lightweight for easy handling. The smooth baffle surfaces may be cleaned by soaking, spraying, or placing in a dishwasher (test detergent first). These filters are self-draining and non-dripping, eliminating grease build-up while foods, utensils, and burner surfaces remain clean.
These filters are specifically designed to replace the mesh style filters that are no longer acceptable as per NFPA 96, Vapor Removal from Cooking Equipment which states "Mesh filters shall not be used."
Please note: Height and width are not interchangeable. These filters can be installed in only one direction; double check your system's height and width requirements before ordering. Grease filters are installed with the baffles running vertically, so the height is the length in the same direction as the baffles. Air flow data is available for download. The actual height and width of all hood grease filters is 7/16" less than the nominal size listed.
These 1.75" thick filters are available in 3 sizes. We also sell aluminum hood filters (item # 09975), galvanized hood filters (item # 09976), and stainless steel filters (item # 09977).
