Description

These general purpose columns can be used for gravity or flash chromatography. Each has a Teflon® stopcock and a Rodaviss® top outer joint. The column is constructed using medium wall tubing for extra durability. It has a sealed COARSE porosity fritted disc to support packing material. The lower end of the column has a round bottom. Connections between the column, reservoir and flow control adapter are made using Rodaviss® joints which afford a grease free seal while holding glassware together without clamps.

This series of columns is available with inner diameters of 0.5 to 3.0 inches (13 to 75 mm) and lengths from 8 to 24 inches (20.3 to 61.0 cm). Smaller bore columns have a 24/40 joint while larger columns (2.5 and 3.0 inch diameter) have a 45/50 joint.

Optional flow controllers (CG-1195) and reservoirs (CG-1194) are available for flash chromatography use.

Additional sizes are available by special order. All columns are also available with an optional clear plastic coating (temperature range -20 to 140 °F) by special order.

The effective length listed in the product selection Size menu is the length of the the full-width column above the stopcock.
