Ohaus Frontier™ FC5515 and FC5515R Microliter Centrifuge

The Ohaus Frontier™ FC5515 and FC5515R microliter bench top centrifuges provide high-speed (200-15,200rpm) spin-down for a wide variety of life science applications. These centrifuges are compatible with seven different rotors to provide a wide variety of tube volumes and capacities. The intuitive control panel with rotary knob supports simple operation, including the ability to set and recall speed and g-force, as well as control the temperature (FC5515R only). The powerful, brushless quiet induction motor, 10 acceleration and deceleration settings, and memory for up to 99 commonly-used parameters are a few of Frontier’s features that propel high-performance. Safety features include a motorized lid locking system and a rotor imbalance sensor that stops the centrifuge if the rotors become imbalanced or sudden shock occurs, protecting the operator from by the high-speed spinning rotors.

The FC5515 model is air cooled. It measures 11.3 w × 15.5 d × 11.5 h in (287 × 393 × 292 mm) and has a weight of 38 lb lb (17 kg) without rotor.

The FC5515R model has a cooling range of -20° to 40°C, 1°C/set. It measures 11.3 w × 22.1 d × 11.5 h in (287 × 561 × 292 mm) and has a weight of 77 lb lb (35 kg) without rotor.
