These Safety Disposal Cans are equipped with quick-disconnect fittings that make them ideal for HPLC waste applications. Each can has two valved quick-disconnect fittings (one for liquid intake and one for vapor release/venting) that automatically close when decoupled. When a pump-fed or gravity-flow HPLC system is attached to the liquid intake, the solvent flows freely into the waste container. An optional coalescing/carbon filter can be used on the vent fitting to control odors. This system eliminates back pressure in the liquid flow disposal line and provides controlled handling of vapor. The easy-on, easy-off quick disconnect mechanism prevents leaks, drips and vapor release.

The translucent white polyethylene color allows for a fast visual inspection of the liquid level. The 3.65" (93 mm) diameter pouring spout is equipped with a stainless steel flame arrester, which reliably dissipates heat to prevent flashback ignition and the spring-loaded, sealed lid automatically vents to guard against explosion.

This 1-gallon (4 L) oval can is easy to handle and maximizes storage space. It has a trigger-style handle that allows for easy one-handed pouring. Both fittings are made from polypropylene and come with EPDM O-rings. The tubing for both fittings has an inner diameter of 0.375" (10 mm).

These containers comply with US OSHA 1910 and NFPA Code 30 requirements both with and without the HPLC filter. The cans themselves are FM approved but they have not been tested for FM-approval in assembly with the filter.
