These 10.75" x 10.75" Class 5.1 Oxidizer hazardous materials placards meet U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) placard specifications and are also suitable for use under Canada's Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations.  Featuring the standard yellow Class 5.1 design with the flame-over-circle symbol, OXIDIZER designation and 5.1 division number, these placards are designed for identifying Class 5.1 oxidizing substances when placarding is required.

DOT: Class 5.1 — Oxidizer; placard specified under 49 CFR §172.550.

TDG: Class 5.1 — Oxidizing Substances; placard specified under TDG Regulations Part 4. Although this is not the standard international placard (which has no words), Canada's TDG Regulations permit additional text on a placard that describes the danger illustrated on the placard, provided the text is located under the symbol and does not obscure any required information.

DOT/TDG: This placard design complies with the applicable DOT and TDG placard specifications. Actual placarding requirements, including when placards must be displayed, depend on the material, quantity, packaging and mode of transportation.

These placards are sold in packages of 25 or 100 only. For corresponding Class 5.1 Oxidizer DOT shipping labels see item # 03040.

They are available in three different materials:

Material Features
Polycoated Tagboard Made from a semi-rigid paper card stock with a water resistant coating on both sides. This material is intended for single trip usage, at an economical price. Intended for use with placard holders.
Rigid Plastic Manufactured on durable plastic able to withstand repeated usage under any weather conditions. The ink is applied using a silk screen process to ensure print quality and resist fading. Intended for use with placard holders.
Permanent Self-Adhesive Vinyl Intended for permanent application on the transport vehicle. They are constructed with an outdoor grade 4-mil vinyl with an aggressive permanent adhesive backing. Once applied, these placards provide a permanent DOT marking solution.

Magnetic versions are also available by special order (please inquire).
