The Ohaus Digital 1 Block Dry Block Heater (HB1DG) is a high wattage, constant-temperature dry block heater that is economical, versatile and compact. This digital model offers exceptional temperature uniformity with outstanding temperature stability. The easy to use touchpad controls have independent displays for temperature and time. It has overshoot protection at 10 °C above the set point and an audible alarm.
This 1 Block Heater accepts one of a variety of interchangeable Ohaus modular blocks (sold separately) at a time accommodating tube sizes from 0.2 mL micro-tubes to 50 mL centrifuge tubes. Samples are heated to temperature quickly and accurately with the PID temperature control. The integrated support rod holder with locking knob accepts the optional External Temperature Probe Kit (item #23157) to monitor actual block or sample temperature.
These heaters are available in 120 and 230 V versions. Each measures 12.4" x 8" x 3.5" and has a low temperature range from ambient +5 °C to 100 °C, and a high temperature range from 75 to 150 °C. The heater can be run in environments from 18 to 33 °C (64 to 91 °F), 20% to 80% relative humidity, non-condensing and comes with a 2 year warranty. Typical applications include incubation and activation of cultures, enzyme reactions, immunoassays, and melting/boiling points.
