These Ohaus Pioneer™ Semi-Micro Balances offer high accuracy and repeatability for essential weighing in laboratory, industrial and education settings that require 0.01 mg readability. The PX85 model has a capacity of 82 g with a readability of 0.01 mg. The PX225D model has a capacity of 82 g with a readability of 0.01 mg and a capacity of 220 g with a readability of 0.1 mg. These balances come with Ohaus’ automatic internal InCal™ calibration system and with a glass draftshield that features a static removal (ESR) bar for convenient grounding.

Typical application modes include basic weighing, parts counting, percent weighing, animal weighing, formulation and density determination. Weigh displays include Gram, Milligrams, Kilogram, Newton, Pound, Ounce, Ounce Troy, Pennyweight, Grain and Carat.

Pioneer™ balances feature a metal base, plastic top housing, a removable 3.15” / 80 mm diameter stainless steel pan, an in-use cover, security bracket, calibration lock and are powered with an AC adaptor (included). Each unit features backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) with a second line display for additional information or guidance. Communication is via RS232 and USB Device (included); GLP/GMP data output with real-time clock.
