These 10.75" x 10.75" Class 9 Miscellaneous hazardous materials placards conform to the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Class 9 placard specifications.  Featuring the standard black-and-white Class 9 design with seven black vertical stripes extending through the upper half and an underlined 9 in the lower portion, these placards are designed for identifying Class 9 miscellaneous products, substances or organisms when placarding is required under Canadian TDG regulations.

TDG: Class 9 — Miscellaneous Products, Substances or Organisms; placard specified under TDG Regulations Part 4. The Canadian TDG design has seven black vertical stripes forming 13 equally spaced black-and-white stripes in the upper half, with no horizontal line connecting the stripes.

DOT: This placard does not conform to the specific Class 9 placard design in 49 CFR §172.560, which specifies stripes extending to one inch above the horizontal centerline, see item # 03121. However, DOT regulations permit a placard conforming to Canadian TDG requirements to be used in place of the corresponding DOT placard under specified conditions.

DOT/TDG: This product is Canadian TDG compliant and is not represented as conforming to the standard DOT Class 9 placard design.

These placards are sold in packages of 25 or 100 only.

They are available in three different materials:

Material Features
Polycoated Tagboard Made from a semi-rigid paper card stock with a water resistant coating on both sides. This material is intended for single trip usage, at an economical price. Intended for use with placard holders.
Rigid Plastic Manufactured on durable plastic able to withstand repeated usage under any weather conditions. The ink is applied using a silk screen process to ensure print quality and resist fading. Intended for use with placard holders.
Permanent Self-Adhesive Vinyl Intended for permanent application on the transport vehicle. They are constructed with an outdoor grade 4-mil vinyl with an aggressive permanent adhesive backing. Once applied, these placards provide a permanent DOT marking solution.

Magnetic versions are also available by special order (please inquire).
