This Cell Disruptor Genie™ is a powerful mechanical cell disruption device ideal for challenging glass bead procedures, including the disruption of yeast cells, bacteria, tissue or any sample requiring violent high-speed agitation. The unique patented mechanism combines vortex and disruption, enabling sample-bead collisions or breaking of pelletized samples directly within the tube. For continuous or timed high-speed vortexing of single test tubes simply replace the microtube holder with the pop-off cup.

Two models are available. Both Both models support timed or continuous operation of high-throughput disruption of up to 12 microtubes, 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL, with snap or screw caps.

The analog model runs at at a fixed speed of 3000 rpm at 60Hz (2850 rpm for the 50Hz models), and has a 0-15 minute timer.
The digital model has a speed range of 1000-3000 rpm at 60Hz (1000-2850 rpm for 50Hz models), a 1-99 minute timer, independent LED displays for the speed and time, a speed monitor and alarm and a sleep mode.

These units have zinc-casted housing with "no-walking" feet design, a universal microtube holder and a mounting bracket.
