Custom Labels

Indoor/Outdoor Grade Vinyl. This material adheres well to pipes, walls, equipment, windows or any other clean, dry surface. It conforms well to irregular, curved or rough surfaces and even stands up to grease, oil and many industrial chemicals. It has a five year average outdoor durability rating in temperatures from -40 to 180 F (-40 to 82 C).

• Any width up to 4". Standard labels are rectangular or square. You can also specify cutout shapes such as circles, ovals, stars, or die cut shapes (text etc.).

• Standard stock label colors: White, yellow, red, green, dark blue, clear. Also available: Black, brown, gold, grey, purple, orange.

Premium Outdoor Grade Polyester. This material is the best choice for marking stainless steel pipes and surfaces because of its low halide content. The ultra-smooth finish is excellent for mounting to rigid panels and very smooth surfaces. It has a 3 to 5 year average outdoor durability rating in temperatures from -40 to 212 °F (-40 to 100 °C).

• Any width up to 4". Standard labels are rectangular or square. You can also specify cutout shapes such as circles, ovals, stars, or die cut shapes (text etc.).

• Available colors: Clear, white, yellow, red, blue, light blue, sky blue, purple, orange, brown tan, ochre, black, grey, pink, and green.

Phosphorescent Tape, 10 hr. Glows in darkness up to 10 hours and meets ISO, DIN and ASTM standards. Any width up to 4". Standard labels are rectangular or square. You can also specify cutout shapes such as circles, ovals, stars, or die cut shapes (text etc.).

Phosphorescent Tape, long life. Glows in darkness. Complies with all indoor use requirements specified in RS 6-1 and 6-1A of New York Local Law 26 including photoluminescence, washability, flammability, toxic gas generation, and radioactivity. Approved Model Numbers Accepted For Use, City of New York, Department of Buildings: MEA No. 467-06-M UV: 46-9-7. Any width up to 4". Standard labels are rectangular or square. You can also specify cutout shapes such as circles, ovals, stars, or die cut shapes (text etc.).

Magnetic. These are flexible magnets, ideal for reuse on pallet racking, vehicles, and more. Available in white or yellow in any width up to 4". Rectangular/square shapes only.

Static Cling Material. These non-adhesive clear labels can be re-used on glass and metal surfaces over and over. Any width up to 4". We recommend rectangular or square, but we can cut these as shapes as well.

Metallized Polyester. These feature a permanent adhesive give your label a classy brushed metal appearance. Any width up to 4". Rectangular/square shapes only (yes, the example is oval, but we can not cut custom shapes in this material, sorry).

Reflective Indoor/Outdoor. These feature a permanent adhesive and they reflect brightly when light hits the label. Any width up to 4". Rectangular/square shapes only.

All label materials can be used for simple rectangles or squares. We can also do various shapes (ovals, circles, stars etc.) and can die cut letters and numbers, depending on the material.

We are beginning to list common/popular custom sizes through our web site so you will have an idea of the pricing and can order them before or after submitting your label details. At the moment we list 2" x 1" and 4" x 4" custom labels with 1-4 print colors. More will follow!

The background color of your label is set by the label material you select. For printing text, symbols etc. choose from black, white, red, blue, green, magenta, yellow, or orange. We print spot color only, so photographs can not be reproduced, for example. The "ink" is a special resin that is heat-bonded to the label material (this is not a simple laser or ink jet print), providing superior smudge-resistance. Most folks use 1 or 2 colors on a label other than the background color, but we can print up to 4.

If you want one or more icons/symbols/graphics on your labels, we have a stock library of over 1,000 common icons for symbols. Two-color DANGER, CAUTION, WARNING, NOTICE, and SAFETY FIRST headers are a popular choice. Our standard library includes:

There is no extra charge for stock artwork. You can download a black and white version of the standard graphics available (1.2 Mb PDF file) if you'd like to browse. We can also print custom logos/icons, but you will need to provide high-quality artwork and an additional fee may apply for complex logos (depending on the size of the order).

• Dimensions (max width = 4", length is essentially unlimited)
• Type of label material
• Color of label material
• Print color(s)
• Any special icons/symbols/arrows
• Any cutout descriptions (circles, stars, etc.)
• Any barcoding/numbering requirements
• Quantity of each label
• If necessary, a sketch or layout.

We'll get back to you with pricing. In general, price scales with the size of the label and number of colors used. Quantity discounts are usually available. There is no setup fee for our custom labels that use standard artwork.
