The Guardian Equipment GBF1658 shower has a semi-recessed design for installation in ceilings 8 to 10 feet above the finished floor and an extended length pull rod for wheelchair users. The unit is activated by pulling on the solid pull rod and the shower valve stays open until the pull rod is manually pushed up. If you have very high ceilings, consider a regular horizontal mount model like the GBF1643. The G1658 is the standard version of this model, however we encourage all users to consider univeral design in their safety equipment selections even if there is not a current specific need.
