Ansul CleanGuard® extinguishers are designed for the protection of commercial and industrial facilities traditionally protected by Halon 1211. Typically, these areas contain sensitive or irreplaceable equipment which could be damaged or destroyed by water, foam, dry chemical, or carbon dioxide. Typical applications include computer centers, data/document storage areas, communications facilities, control rooms, electronics manufacturing, museums, art galleries, laboratories, and many others. These extinguishers are rated for temperatures from -40 to 120 °F (-40 to +49 °C) and include a six-year manufacturer's limited warranty.
DuPont FE-36 replaces Halon 1211 as the agent-of-choice for applications where the agent must be clean, electrically nonconductive, environment-friendly, extremely low in toxicity and exceptionally effective. Because it discharges as a liquid, FE-36 also provides an effective discharge range up to 16 ft. (4.9 m). FE-36 is electrically nonconductive, residue-free, and will not cause thermal shock damage. FE-36 has been accepted by the EPA for commercial, industrial, and military use under the EPA's SNAP program. It boasts zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).
We get a lot of questions from folks who can't decide between the various clean agent options (which include water, carbon dioxide and Halotron I). There are advantages and disadvantages to each, of course. When we needed to pick extinguishers to protect our own computers and networking equipment, we chose CleanGuard. These have also been the extinguisher of choice for our, ahem, how do we put this, US government customers with sensitive electronics needs.
The FE13NM model (only) has been tested to 3.0 Tesla and is certified for use in MRI rooms, NMR laboratories, and other areas that have magnetic fields. Additional non-magnetic options include the Amerex Water Mist non-magnetic models (item # 09660) and Badger 100% non-magnetic CO2 extinguisher (item # 09663).
Technical note: The 2018 edition of NFPA 99 at 184.108.40.206 states "Nonferrous-type fire extinguishers shall be provided in MRI rooms and associated spaces." At 220.127.116.11 it states "Clean agent or water-mist type fire extinguishers shall be provided in operating rooms" and in A.18.104.22.168. "Dry chemical fire extinguishers should not be provided in operating rooms. The clean agent extinguishers selected should have a Class A rating of some form." Finally, at 22.214.171.124 NFPA states "Clean agent-type fire extinguishers shall be provided in telecommunication entrance facilities and telecommunication equipment rooms.

All models come standard with a wall hanger hook except for the FE02VB which ships with a vehicle bracket. The hanger hook for the FE13NM is non-magnetic. Brackets, which provide more robust mounting in areas such as vehicle compartments, are also available and are sold separately (see hyperlinks in the table above).
