This page lists extinguishers that have solely a Class AC rating. For extinguishers that can combat other threats, go back to the By Class page and select one of those classes.
Class A fires involve ordinary materials like burning paper, lumber, cardboard, plastics etc. and Class C fires involve energized electrical equipment, such as appliances, switches, panel boxes, power tools, hot plates and stirrers. The only extinguisher that is rated for these two in combination are water mist extinguishers. The non-magnetic versions of these are ideal for MRI suites and NMR laboratories where high magnetic fields would turn ordinary extinguishers into potentially fatal missles!
