New improved Ansul CleanGuard+ Clean Agent Fire Extinguishers Now Available!!

Ansul has updated their venerated CleanGuard clean agent fire extinguisher line with a new lower-cost, safer, and more environmentally friendly extinguishing agent, FK-5-1-12, effective immediately!

The FK-5-1-12 agent in these extinguishers has a low (effectively zero) ODP (ozone depletion potential), a low GWP (global warming potential) and an atmospheric lifetime rating of approximately one week, compared to a year or more for traditional agents. In addition, according to Cardiotox LOAEL and Cardiotox NOAEL Acute Toxicity rankings, exposure to FK-5-1-12 is five times lower on the toxicity rankings than Halotron-1®. That means FK-5-1-12 can be safely discharged in considerably smaller spaces than traditional agents. FK-5-1-12 is a colorless, odorless, electrically non-conductive "clean" agent which discharges as a liquid and flashes to a gas, providing an increased effective firefighting range. FK-5-1-12 will not cause thermal shock damage to delicate electronic equipment.
