Product Description
The Guardian Equipment G1790 is a constructed entirely of PVC, has a stainless steel valve for superior corrosion resistance, and comes in your choice of orange, yellow, and green. The G1780 is similar but uses two larger FS-Plus™ spray heads to wash the eyes and face. The G1890 is also similar but has two smaller GS-Plus™ spray heads which wash only the eyes. Various wall and pedestal-mounted versions are available as well as additional corrosion-resistant and ADA-compliant models.
SHIPMENT NOTE: This product is relatively fragile and Guardian prefers to ship this rather compact/lightweight item as freight to prevent damage in transit. Application: WideArea™ Eye/face wash for wall mounting. Constructed entirely in PVC and PVC-coated brass. Ideal for use in industrial environments where harsh acids or caustics are present. Four GS-Plus™ spray-type outlet heads deliver a flood of water over a wide area of coverage for complete rinsing of eyes and face. Spray Head Assembly: Four GS-Plus™ spray heads. Each head has a “flip top” dust cover, internal flow control and filter to remove impurities from the water flow. Valve: 1/2" IPS Type 316 stainless steel stay-open ball valve. The valve has a stainless steel ball and PTFE seals. Bowl: 11-3/4" diameter orange ABS plastic. Mounting: Heavy duty PVC wall bracket. Supply: 1/2" NPT female inlet. Waste: 1-1/2" socket weld female outlet. Sign: ANSI-compliant identification sign, item # 250-007G. Quality Assurance: Unit is completely assembled and water tested prior to shipment. |
GRN Green ABS plastic bowl. YEL Yellow ABS plastic bowl. Application Note An optional G6020 thermostatic mixing valve (tempering unit) which precisely blends hot and cold water to deliver warm (tepid) water as provided by ANSI Z358.1-2014 may be required under your state or local plumbing codes.

Tech note: This item is the recommended replacement for the Guardian G1792 which was discontinued in 2023. The G1792 was identical but used a PVC-coated brass stay-open valve.
All Guardian items are manufactured in the USA. This item ships in a box approximately 14" x 14" x 12" (35.6 x 35.6 x 30.5 cm) weighing approximately 8 pounds (3.6 kg); however it generally ships as freight - see the note in the second paragraph (above).
