- Water-Flow Monitor™ sensor with two outlets, 1500 W, 120 V
Product Description
This product was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2023 and there is no recommended alternative or replacement, sorry.
The Water-Flow Monitor™ sensor is used to control water in open flow systems on the laboratory benchtop in the event of supply failure or popped condenser hose. It is suitable for flow rates of 0.1 to 2.0 liters/min.
The unit is installed on the end of your cooling system - for example, on the end of the outlet hose on a distillation condenser. When this compact unit detects a drop in flow it will switch OFF the power to the two power outlets. One power outlet should be connected to your distillation or reflux heating supply and the other can be connected to a solenoid valve to shut off the water supply line. One unit therefore protects against unattended floods as well as fires.
This unit is easy installed, is rack mountable, and only Nylon™ and acrylic materials are wetted. The unit is suitable for operating temperatures in the range of 10 to 60 °C (50 to 149 °F). Case dimensions: 4 5/8" h x 4-3/4" w x 6-1/4" d. Weight: 3 lb (1.36 kg). Electrical rating: 12.5 A @ 1500 W.
A deluxe model with an integrated variable voltage control for your heating apparatus is also available (item #20903).
